Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Assistant Payroll Manager to join our dynamic team in the Information Technology sector based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the payroll function of our organization, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, benefits, and related payroll activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Payroll Manager in overseeing the entire payroll process, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
- Process and validate payroll data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and deductions.
- Collaborate with the HR department to maintain accurate employee records, ensuring all changes are reflected in the payroll system.
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate calculations of overtime, bonuses, and commissions in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end payroll-related documents, including tax filings and employee tax statements.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related issues, providing excellent customer service and support.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations and best practices within the Information Technology sector.
- Participate in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Support the Payroll Manager in audits and other compliance-related activities as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within the Information Technology industry.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and labor laws in the UAE.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong working relationships across departments.
