Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented CFO Assistant to support the Chief Financial Officer in our Financial Services organization based in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of finance and accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role is crucial for facilitating the smooth operation of the finance department and ensuring that financial goals are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the CFO, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing agendas and meeting materials.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Budget Management: Support the CFO in the development and monitoring of the annual budget. Assist in the preparation of budget reports and variance analysis.
- Data Management: Maintain and organize financial records and documentation. Ensure that all financial data is accurate, up-to-date, and securely stored.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis on financial trends, market conditions, and competitor performance to support strategic decision-making.
- Compliance and Governance: Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. Help prepare for audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
- Project Coordination: Assist in managing special projects and initiatives as directed by the CFO. This may include financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
- Communication: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters. Facilitate communication between the CFO and other departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a financial or accounting role, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial software and ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
