Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Diversity Manager to join our manufacturing organization in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing diversity and inclusion strategies that align with our business goals while fostering a workplace culture that values and promotes diversity. Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy Development:
- Design and implement comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategies tailored to the manufacturing sector.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align diversity initiatives with business objectives.
2. Policy Implementation:
- Develop and maintain policies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations regarding diversity in the workplace.
3. Training and Awareness:
- Create and deliver training programs focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion for all employees.
- Facilitate workshops and seminars to raise awareness and educate staff on the importance of diversity.
4. Recruitment and Retention:
- Work with HR to enhance recruitment strategies that attract diverse talent.
- Implement retention strategies aimed at creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
5. Measurement and Reporting:
- Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of diversity initiatives and programs.
- Regularly report on the progress and impact of diversity efforts to senior management and stakeholders.
6. Culture Building:
- Foster a culture of inclusion and belonging through employee engagement initiatives.
- Encourage open dialogue and promote a safe space for employees to share their experiences and perspectives.
7. Collaboration and Networking:
- Partner with external organizations and community groups to promote diversity initiatives.
- Stay updated on best practices in diversity and inclusion within the manufacturing industry and beyond.
8. Conflict Resolution:
- Address and mediate conflicts related to diversity and discrimination in the workplace.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on diversity-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in diversity and inclusion roles, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful diversity initiatives.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with local labor laws and regulations pertaining to diversity and inclusion.
