Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Operations Manager to oversee our food service operations within the Aerospace and Defense sector in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of food service operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and delivering exceptional service to our clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day food service operations, including menu planning, procurement, food preparation, and service delivery to ensure high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of culinary and service staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional development and high performance.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with chefs and nutritionists to design and implement diverse and nutritious menus that cater to the dietary needs of clients in the aerospace and defense sectors.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all food operations comply with local and international health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for food operations, including cost control measures, inventory management, and waste reduction strategies to maximize profitability.
- Supplier Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the consistent supply of high-quality ingredients and materials.
- Client Interaction: Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and preferences, providing tailored food service solutions that enhance their overall experience.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational efficiency, staff performance, and customer satisfaction, making adjustments as necessary to achieve targets.
- Innovation and Sustainability: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating innovative approaches and sustainable practices in food service operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management, Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in food operations management, preferably within the aerospace and defense or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented approach.
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
