Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Housekeeping Manager to oversee the housekeeping operations within our construction sites in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, while adhering to safety protocols and regulations specific to the construction environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Housekeeping Staff: Lead and motivate a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring they are well-trained and equipped to perform their duties efficiently. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Cleaning Standards and Protocols: Develop and implement cleaning protocols and procedures that meet industry standards and comply with health and safety regulations. Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used properly and safely.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure the team has the resources needed to perform their tasks. Monitor usage to minimize waste.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of all areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to company standards. Address any issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of the housekeeping budget. Monitor expenditures and identify areas for cost savings without compromising quality.
- Training and Development: Organize training sessions for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in housekeeping best practices, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
- Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, including project management and site supervision, to coordinate housekeeping activities and ensure a seamless operation within the construction site.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that all housekeeping activities comply with health and safety regulations. Promote a culture of safety and ensure that all staff are aware of and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on housekeeping operations, including staff performance, inventory levels, and budget adherence. Present findings to upper management and make recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a housekeeping management role, preferably within the construction or facilities management sector.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using housekeeping management software and tools.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to housekeeping and construction sites.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
