Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team in the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure management, and deployment strategies, particularly in environments that prioritize data security and compliance. This role is crucial for enhancing our cloud capabilities and ensuring robust infrastructure to support our healthcare applications and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, tailored for healthcare applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data scientists, and IT security professionals, to understand requirements and deliver optimal cloud solutions.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of cloud-based systems, adhering to healthcare regulations such as HIPAA or GDPR.
- Develop automation scripts and tools for deployment, monitoring, and management of cloud resources to improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization of cloud resources.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure using industry-standard tools and respond promptly to incidents or service disruptions.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and best practices to recommend enhancements to existing systems.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure business continuity.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- Strong proficiency in cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and understanding of their respective ecosystems.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with networking, security protocols, and best practices in cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of healthcare data standards and regulations (HL7, FHIR, HIPAA).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, ELK Stack).
