Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Compliance Consultant to join our team in Abu Dhabi, specializing in the Transportation and Logistics sector. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that our operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies while supporting our strategic goals for growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor, analyze, and interpret local and international regulations affecting the transportation and logistics industry. Provide guidance and recommendations to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive compliance risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities within the organization’s operations. Recommend and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Policy Development: Develop, update, and implement compliance policies and procedures. Ensure that all policies align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Training and Awareness: Design and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all levels. Foster a culture of compliance within the organization by promoting awareness of compliance obligations.
- Audit and Monitoring: Plan and execute compliance audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and adherence to policies. Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and recommend corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including legal, finance, and operational teams, to ensure a unified approach to compliance. Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related queries.
- Reporting: Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and the board of directors. Highlight key compliance issues, trends, and recommended actions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of changes in the regulatory landscape and industry trends. Proactively recommend improvements to compliance processes and systems.
- Incident Management: Oversee the investigation of compliance-related incidents, ensuring thorough documentation and resolution of issues. Communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance within the Transportation and Logistics sector or related industries.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to transportation safety, environmental regulations, and international trade compliance.
- Proven experience in conducting compliance audits and risk assessments.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and policies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in compliance management systems and tools.
