Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Portfolio Analyst to join our dynamic team in Dubai, focusing on the energy sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of energy portfolios, including renewable and non-renewable assets, to assess performance, risks, and opportunities. Utilize quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate investment options.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the energy sector. Provide insights and recommendations based on comprehensive market research.
- Investment Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to formulate and implement investment strategies that align with the company’s objectives and risk tolerance.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor and report on portfolio performance, identifying variances from benchmarks and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks within the portfolio and develop mitigation strategies to ensure optimized performance and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support investment decisions, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
- Stakeholder Communication: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and senior executives, articulating portfolio performance, investment strategies, and market insights.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other analysts, investment managers, and departments to foster a collaborative environment and ensure alignment on investment initiatives.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering their professional development and enhancing team capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (CFA, CAIA, etc.) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in portfolio analysis, investment analysis, or related roles within the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and economic indicators, with specific knowledge of the energy industry.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, including Excel, Bloomberg, or similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficient in data visualization tools and software to present analytical findings effectively.
