Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead our procurement strategy and operations within the Transportation and Logistics sector in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the procurement process aligns with the company’s goals and objectives. Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that are aligned with the organization's overall objectives and goals.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential suppliers in the transportation and logistics sector.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring they understand the company’s needs and expectations.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly and negotiate terms and conditions to optimize costs while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Contract Management:
- Lead the negotiation of contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and compliance with legal guidelines.
- Oversee the contract lifecycle from initiation to execution and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and career development.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment through effective communication and team-building initiatives.
- Cost Management:
- Monitor and analyze procurement expenditures to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency within the procurement function.
- Develop and maintain budgets for procurement activities, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Identify potential risks within the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present reports on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and cost savings to senior management.
- Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement within the procurement function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPIM) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Proven track record of successful supplier negotiation and contract management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
