Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Risk Consultant to join our dynamic team in the Aerospace and Defense sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, with a particular focus on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with aerospace and defense projects. This role requires a deep understanding of industry regulations, standards, and best practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for various aerospace and defense projects, including the identification of potential risks, their impacts, and likelihoods.
- Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to minimize risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including ISO 31000, AS9100, and other relevant frameworks. Stay updated on changes in regulations that may impact risk management practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and clients, to communicate risk findings and recommendations effectively.
- Risk Reporting: Prepare and present detailed risk reports to senior management, highlighting key risk indicators, trends, and mitigation progress.
- Training and Development: Lead training sessions and workshops on risk management principles and practices for project teams and stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of risk management policies, processes, and tools within the organization.
- Industry Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging threats to inform risk management strategies and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Risk Manager, Project Management Professional) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 8 years of experience in risk management within the Aerospace and Defense sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Proficient in risk assessment tools and methodologies, as well as project management software.
- A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a strong attention to detail.
