Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workforce Planner to join our dynamic team in the construction sector based in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects are adequately staffed with qualified personnel, thereby optimizing productivity and efficiency across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workforce Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive workforce plans that align with project timelines, budgets, and objectives. Ensure that the right talent is available at the right time and place.
- Resource Allocation: Analyze project requirements and allocate resources effectively. Monitor and adjust workforce levels based on project demands, ensuring that all phases of construction are adequately staffed.
- Data Analysis: Utilize workforce analytics to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to resource utilization, productivity, and project timelines. Identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and HR teams to understand staffing needs and address any gaps in workforce capabilities. Foster strong working relationships to ensure alignment across departments.
- Forecasting: Conduct regular forecasting of workforce needs based on upcoming projects, seasonal demands, and changes in contract scope. Prepare detailed reports to inform senior management of potential staffing challenges.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and assist in the development of training programs to enhance the skills of the workforce. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of workforce-related budgets, including labor costs, overtime, and other related expenditures. Monitor and report on budget performance.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and industry regulations. Stay updated on relevant legislation and best practices in workforce planning and management.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve workforce planning processes and tools. Leverage technology to enhance efficiency in workforce management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in workforce planning within the construction industry. Experience in a senior role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, labor regulations, and workforce management strategies.
- Proficiency in workforce planning software and tools, as well as advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
