Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist to join our dynamic team in Al Ain. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our supply chain operations within the education sector. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving educational resource delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee and manage the end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution of educational materials and resources.
- Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality products and services. Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve the best possible terms.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of educational supplies while minimizing excess inventory. Implement effective inventory management techniques to optimize costs.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis tools to assess supply chain performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management review.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in the supply chain processes and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and responsiveness.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including finance, procurement, and academic teams, to align supply chain activities with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies, and identify potential risks in the supply chain. Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
- Project Management: Assist in the planning and execution of supply chain projects, including new product launches and system implementations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, preferably within the education sector.
- Proficient in supply chain software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management techniques.
