Business Analyst

A fast-growing SaaS organization in the insurance and health tech space is seeking a Business Analyst to join its high-performing team. This team delivers impactful data analytics and business intelligence solutions across the business, and this role will be central to driving intelligent decision-making through data.Role Responsibilities:Gather and document business requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications.Analyze existing processes and data flows to identify opportunities for optimization and improved data integrity.Query and monitor SQL databases, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.Conduct research and integrate data from multiple sources to assess system performance and operational metrics.Execute scenario-based analyses, such as evaluating transaction volume impact or resolving data matching issues.Create and maintain process diagrams and data flow documentation for current and future workflows.Propose system enhancements, including database design and workflow improvements.Support testing and validation of system changes to ensure compliance with requirements.Act as liaison between business units, technical teams, and vendors for successful project delivery.Assist with change management, user documentation, and training.Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for scalability and efficiency.Qualifications:5+ years of relevant experienceStrong proficiency in SQL and experience with B2B database environmentsAdvanced Excel skills for data analysis and reportingSolid analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExperience with business process modeling and requirements documentationFamiliarity with cloud-based tools and monitoring platforms (e.g., AWS, CloudWatch, S3)Excellent communication skills for diverse audiencesUnderstanding of SDLC and project management methodologiesPreferred Skills:Advanced degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fieldExperience in regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI)Background in SaaS or insurance-related industries
