Care Assistant - Arrhythmia Nurse Team
Part-time
Mid
Description
We have redesigned the service to incorporate two part time band 3 roles to support the arrhythmia specialist nurses/ ANP's to run the arrhythmia service.
The role will be to support the delivery of the arrhythmia service by being a face to face point of contact during arrhythmia clinics ensuring that patients are seen on time and attended to outside of their consultation.
The role also is to support the planning and implementation of the cardioversion service.
We recognise that patients need support through their journey and the need for support staff if prerequisite in providing high quality care.
This key person will be responsible primarily for supporting the nurses in the outpatients clinic by caring for patients on the corridor, directing them to different departments in the hospital as well as undertaking ECG's, bloods, observations during weekend clinics, mainly a patient facing role.
The successful candidate will also support the patients during their cardioversion procedures, providing after care and ensuring they are supported throughout their day case procedure.
The planning of virtual clinics and contacting patients around attending for planned activities will be incorporated in the role and the ordering of routine investigations such as ECG's in advance of planned clinics will form part of the role.
