Description

Job Purpose

Responsible for estimating, cost control, and quantity surveying of CCTV, networking, and structured cabling systems in commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Ensures accurate cost estimation, material take-offs, BOQs, and supports project execution through monitoring, measurement, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Estimation
• Review tender documents, project drawings, specifications, and SLDs for CCTV & networking systems.
• Prepare detailed material take-offs for:
• IP & analog CCTV cameras, NVR/DVR, storage, video wall equipment.
• Networking equipment: switches, routers, servers, access points.
• Structured cabling: UTP cables, fiber optic backbone, patch panels, outlets, racks.
• Cable containment: trays, conduits, trunking, accessories.
• Collect and compare vendor quotations to determine realistic material costs.
• Prepare cost estimates, including materials, labor, installation, testing & commissioning, and contingencies.
• Suggest value engineering options for cost optimization without compromising standards.
• Assist in tender submissions and technical-commercial clarifications.

Quantity Surveying
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for CCTV & networking systems.
• Monitor and control project costs against budget.
• Assist in monthly progress billing (IPC) and documentation for payment approvals.
• Measure executed quantities and maintain records for variation orders and change requests.
• Prepare final account reports based on as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and site engineers for accurate measurements and cost tracking.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree / Diploma i or equivalent.

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in ELV, CCTV, networking, or structured cabling estimation & QS.

Skills

Strong understanding of CCTV systems

Knowledge of structured cabling standards
