Job Title: Finance Assistant
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Expected Hours: 37.50 per week (Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm)
Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity to join our clients accounts servicing team.
The successful candidate will join a team of finance assistants managing their own portfolio of clients. Responsibilities range from sales & purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, VAT returns and management reporting. Ideally the candidate will be AAT qualified or working towards qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain client’s sales ledger, to include monthly rent demand generation, receipting of rents & monitoring of aged debtors.
· Maintain client’s purchase ledger, to include processing of invoices, preparing BACS payment & monitoring of aged creditors.
· Monthly reconciliation of client’s bank accounts.
· Prepare VAT returns (including Partial Exemption calculations).
· Prepare monthly management reports for clients, including client statements and cash flow analysis.
· Prepare annual accounts information to forward onto client’s accountants.
Skills & Requirements:
· AAT qualified or studying towards qualification.
· Understand VAT.
· Attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records.
· Organised and able to work towards deadlines.
· Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
· Staying calm under pressure.
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Experience and ability in working within a team environment, while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
· Excellent team player.
· Competent IT user, to include Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
· Absolute confidentiality of clients’ affairs.

Experience:
