KBB Recruitment are pleased to be working with a leading bathrooms manufacturer, Due to continued growth, our client is now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimise operational performance.

The Role

The Operations Manager will play a key strategic role in leading and developing the operational function, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and service excellence. Responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities

Lead all operational activities with full accountability for cost control, productivity, and delivery against targets.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Promote and embed a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and health & safety standards.

Build strong cross-functional collaboration and adapt quickly to changing business needs to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.

Develop, coach, and empower operational team members, fostering a high-performance culture.

Ensure strong stock accuracy and smooth processes across warehousing, delivery, and customer service.

Monitor performance metrics, turning data insights into actionable decisions.

Provide regular performance reporting and operational updates to senior management.

Support the integration and adoption of new systems and operational processes.

Encourage teamwork, accountability, and open communication across departments.

Manage challenging conversations and resolve conflicts constructively.

Maintain quality standards, ensuring all products are secure, correctly presented, and dispatched in excellent condition.

Work collaboratively with customer experience and sales teams to resolve order or delivery issues efficiently.

Demonstrate flexibility by supporting increased volumes or urgent orders when required.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring strong operational leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to improvement and problem-solving.

Key Requirements

Minimum of

5 years’ managerial experience

in an operational role, ideally within a medium-sized business in FMCG or a related industry.

Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.

Highly organised, able to prioritise effectively and manage multiple demands.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Proven leadership, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

Competent in IT systems, including ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), with experience implementing new technologies.

Resilient, adaptable, and confident in managing people and processes.

Experience in recruitment and selection.
