Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Duties
• Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools to support case development and strategy.
• Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
• Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are current, organized, and easily accessible.
• Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable laws such as UCC law, tribal regulations, or securities law.
• Prepare and organize discovery materials for litigation processes including document review and data entry.
• Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, scheduling meetings, and maintaining calendars.
• Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses to gather pertinent information for cases involving family law, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, or landlord-tenant disputes.
• Proofread legal documents for grammatical accuracy and consistency; transcribe dictations as needed.
• Assist in the preparation of court filings and ensure adherence to procedural requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while handling administrative tasks such as filing and data entry.
• Provide executive administrative support by managing correspondence, phone etiquette, and organizational workflows.
• Collaborate with attorneys on specialized practice areas including immigration law, patent law, or environmental regulations.
Qualifications
• Paralegal experience with a strong background in diverse legal fields such as estate planning, environmental law, litigation, tribal law & regulations, or securities law.
• Proficiency in legal research platforms including LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Experience with case management software such as PCLaw or iManage is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of various practice areas including family law, landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, patent law, or immigration law.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills complemented by strong writing skills for drafting legal documents.
• Ability to perform thorough proofreading and transcription accurately.
• Familiarity with legal administrative processes such as filing procedures and document review.
• Strong interpersonal skills including professional phone etiquette and effective communication.
• Technical proficiency in document management systems and data entry tools.
• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification preferred; prior clerical or administrative experience in a law office is advantageous.
