Description

Blackfield Associates are currently partnered with a global pharmaceutical manufacturer to support their search for a Project Manager to join their project based in Clayton, NC on an initial multi year contract.

Responsibilities:
• Identify, develop, and manage interface agreements between teams, vendors, and functional areas to align milestones and schedules.
• Create detailed project plans and business cases for leadership review.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to close program gaps and ensure alignment across teams.
• Provide project status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
• Oversee installation, troubleshooting, qualification, and validation of buildings and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
• Lead the execution of capital projects in line with company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with design firms to bring projects from conceptual design to execution.
• Maintain effective communication and alignment across multiple project teams.
• Manage major milestones, schedules, and cost plans through Clarity PEM.
• Handle stakeholder management and communications across teams and leadership.
• Oversee training requirements for project personnel.
• Manage project change control to ensure adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
• Track project performance, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Sufficient years of engineering experience in facility infrastructure and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Sufficient years of experience managing major capital projects.
• Strong project management skills with expertise in scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
• Ability to read design drawings (CAD) and understand P&ID, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of building and utility equipment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence project outcomes.
• Experience in problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict management.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Long-term, full-time project commitment required.
