Reactive Maintenance Engineer (Fabric) – Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £33,000–£38,000 per year (average) + opportunity to earn more

A well-established building services and facilities maintenance provider is looking for a skilled Reactive Maintenance Engineer (Fabric) to join their team. The company supports a range of commercial properties, including offices, retail sites, healthcare facilities, schools, and mixed-use buildings. Most work involves maintaining and repairing building fabric elements, ensuring sites remain safe, functional, and presentable.
Key Responsibilities:
• General fabric maintenance, repairs, and small works across commercial sites
• Carpentry, joinery, and door repairs
• Basic plumbing and patch plastering
• Painting, decorating, and finishing tasks
• Attending reactive call-outs for urgent building or fabric issues
• Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard
Requirements:
• Strong, all-round background in building fabric maintenance
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites
• Flexibility for occasional out-of-hours work
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
