Our client, a fast-paced technology solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead their agile software development teams. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of complex software projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, control, and closure. You will facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Your role involves managing project scope, resources, risks, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all parties. You will mentor junior project managers and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies within the organization.
We require a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, complemented by at least 7 years of proven experience in project management, specifically within software development environments utilizing Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). Professional certifications such as PMP, CSM, or SAFe are highly desirable. A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various development technologies is essential. Excellent leadership, organizational, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills are paramount for effectively managing distributed teams and diverse stakeholders in a remote setting.
