Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Retail Operations Manager to lead their nationwide retail operations from a remote capacity. This key role is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operational efficiency, and profitability of our retail outlets across the UK. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail management, with a proven ability to drive sales, manage budgets, and optimise store performance. This is a fully remote position, requiring a self-starter with excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

You will develop and implement operational strategies to enhance customer experience, streamline supply chain processes, and improve inventory management. Key responsibilities include setting performance targets for store managers, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and identifying areas for improvement. The Senior Retail Operations Manager will also be instrumental in developing and executing merchandising plans, ensuring brand consistency, and leading talent management initiatives within the retail team. Experience with retail technology, such as POS systems and inventory management software, is essential. This role demands strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret sales data, and a proactive approach to addressing operational challenges.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic operational plans to maximise retail performance and profitability. Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple retail stores. Set performance standards and objectives for store managers and their teams. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities. Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure efficient resource allocation. Develop and execute effective merchandising and promotional strategies. Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met across all retail locations. Lead talent acquisition, training, and development initiatives for retail staff. Collaborate with marketing, merchandising, and logistics departments to ensure seamless operations. Identify and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in retail management, with a focus on operations. Proven track record of success in managing multiple retail locations and driving sales growth. Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, and inventory management. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in retail management software and analytical tools. Ability to work independently and manage a remote team effectively. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic business plans. Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
