About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and innovative Computer Scientist to join our dynamic team in the Transportation and Logistics sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, data analysis, and software development, with a passion for leveraging technology to improve transportation systems and logistics efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and implement software solutions to optimize transportation and logistics operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify challenges and opportunities for technological improvement in supply chain management.
- Analyze large datasets to derive insights into transportation patterns, system performance, and operational efficiencies.
- Develop algorithms and models for route optimization, inventory management, and predictive analytics.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and trends in transportation and logistics, including AI, machine learning, and IoT applications.
- Create and maintain documentation for software systems, including architecture diagrams, user manuals, and technical specifications.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing systems and applications.
- Contribute to project planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and objectives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in software development, data analysis, or a related role, preferably within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data visualization tools.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and supply chain management software.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
