Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cartographer to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. As a Cartographer specializing in Agriculture, you will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate maps of agricultural landscapes, crop distribution, soil types, irrigation systems, and other related features. You will use geographic information systems (GIS) and other mapping software to analyze and interpret data to produce high-quality maps that will aid in decision-making processes for agricultural activities.

Responsibilities:

- Collect, compile, and analyze data related to agricultural landscapes, including crop types, soil properties, topography, and irrigation systems
- Use GIS software to create accurate and detailed maps of agricultural areas
- Collaborate with agronomists, farmers, and other stakeholders to understand their mapping needs and provide them with relevant maps
- Conduct field surveys and research to gather data for mapping purposes
- Update and maintain existing maps to ensure accuracy and relevance
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in mapping technology and techniques
- Present maps and analysis results to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner
- Work closely with other team members to integrate mapping data with other agricultural information for comprehensive analysis

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Cartography, Agriculture, or a related field
- Proficiency in GIS software and other mapping tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
